About Us
The RBT Mock Test (therbtmocktest.com) is a free online platform built to help candidates prepare for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification exam. Every resource on this site — practice exams, unit quizzes, study guides, and flashcards — is available at no cost, with no signup, no email gating, no paywall, and no display ads.
This site exists because we believe access to quality RBT exam preparation should not depend on how much a candidate can afford to spend. The 40-hour RBT training, the BACB application fee, and the Pearson VUE testing fee already add up. Your study materials should not be another expense.
Our Mission
Our mission is straightforward: provide the most accurate, comprehensive, and accessible free RBT practice test and study resources available online — aligned with the current BACB RBT Test Content Outline (3rd Edition) and updated whenever the exam standards change.
We are committed to three principles:
Always free. Every RBT mock test, practice exam, unit quiz, study guide page, and flashcard set on this site is completely free. We do not have a paid tier, premium content, or locked features. We do not run display ads. The site is self-funded as an educational resource for the ABA community.
Always current. All content is aligned with the 2026 RBT Task List 3.0 (Test Content Outline, 3rd Edition), which took effect January 1, 2026. When the BACB updates the task list, exam policies, or certification requirements, we update our materials to match. Every page shows a “last updated” date so you always know how current the content is.
Always accurate. RBT exam preparation content must be clinically accurate because candidates make real career decisions based on what they study. Our practice questions, answer explanations, and study guide content are developed with reference to the official BACB RBT Task List, published ABA literature, and established behavior-analytic principles.
What We Offer
The RBT Mock Test provides a complete, self-contained exam prep system covering all six domains of the 2026 RBT certification exam:
- RBT Mock Tests and Practice Exams
- Unit Quizzes by Domain
- Comprehensive RBT Study Guide
- RBT Flashcards
Who We Are
The RBT Mock Test was created by Bryan Janice, A behavior support professional with knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and experience assisting individuals with developmental and behavioral needs. Skilled in implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting data, and supporting skill development in educational and home settings. Committed to providing ethical, person-centered care and promoting positive outcomes for clients and their families.
Content Development Process
All practice questions and study guide content are developed through a structured process:
- Each question and explanation is mapped to a specific task in the BACB RBT Test Content Outline (3rd Edition) to ensure complete domain coverage.
- Questions are written in scenario-based format to match the applied reasoning style of the real BACB exam, not simple recall or memorization.
- Answer explanations reference the specific ABA principles and task list items being tested so candidates understand not just the correct answer, but why it is correct.
- Content is reviewed against the official BACB task list, published ABA textbooks, and the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts whenever updates are made.
How This Site Is Different
There are many RBT practice test websites. Here is what makes The RBT Mock Test different:
No ads, ever. Most free RBT practice test sites run display ads that slow down page load, interrupt studying, and create a cluttered experience. This site has zero ads. Your screen space is dedicated entirely to your exam preparation.
No signup walls. You do not need to create an account, enter an email address, or provide any personal information to access any resource on this site. Everything is available immediately.
No upsells. There is no “premium” version, no paid question bank, and no upgrade prompts. Every question, quiz, study guide, and flashcard on this site is the same for everyone.
Task List 3.0 from day one. This site was built around the 2026 RBT Test Content Outline (3rd Edition). All domain names, task descriptions, question distributions, and content areas reflect the current exam, not a retrofitted version of older materials. The six domains used throughout this site — Data Collection and Graphing, Behavior Assessment, Behavior Acquisition, Behavior Reduction, Documentation and Reporting, and Ethics — are the correct 2026 domain names, not the previous Task List 2.0 terminology.
Structured study system. Rather than offering a random collection of practice questions, this site provides a complete study path: take a baseline practice exam, identify weak domains, study each domain using the study guide, test yourself with matching quizzes, take a second mock exam to measure improvement, and repeat until consistently scoring 80% or higher.
Editorial Standards
Accuracy matters in RBT exam preparation because candidates make real decisions about their careers and study time based on the content they trust. We hold ourselves to these editorial standards:
Factual accuracy. Every claim about the RBT exam format, BACB policies, eligibility requirements, exam costs, retake policies, and certification standards is verified against official BACB sources. If we cannot verify a claim, we do not publish it.
Current information. When the BACB updates the RBT Task List, exam policies, or certification requirements, we update our content to reflect the changes. Every page displays its last-updated date. Currently, all content is aligned with the RBT Test Content Outline (3rd Edition), effective January 1, 2026.
Objective language. Study guide content and answer explanations use observable, measurable language consistent with ABA professional standards. We do not use subjective or misleading descriptions of behavior.
No guarantees. We do not claim that using this site guarantees passing the RBT exam. We do not make promises about specific scores or outcomes. Practice exams are preparation tools, not predictors of certification results.
Transparency about limitations. The practice questions on this site are not actual BACB exam items. Those are confidential and proprietary. Our questions are designed to match the format, difficulty, and domain distribution of the real exam, but they are independently developed study materials.
